Final Double Page Spread...

This is my final double page spread.
In addition to my previous drafts I have inserted lines coordinating with my colour scheme these lines make my magazine look more quirky and modern, appealing to the audience more, for practical reasons I had to lower the opacity if the lines so that the writing would stand out and would be readable.

This is my article: I have written it in a chatty casual tone because I wanted to write in the way my target audience would speak for example I have used words like 'gonna' and I have used emotions like ':)' because this would relax my audience when reading it as the will be able to identify it and feel like they are friends with the artist. I have also asked questions like 'What advice would you give to people starting out in the industry?' because this is the main reason people would buy the magazine as most of my readers would be aspiring artists and along with getting knowledge to impress they're friends with they would want to know how to become successful themselves, and the would be able to hear it from the people they aspire to be like.

Jasper John has had a busy year, he has been  ping-ponging all over the world on his biggest tour yet and all 5 of his chart topping singles, but this pop star isn’t ready to fade into the shadows quite yet and we agree!

He’s traveling into 2012 with success already in his grasps, with the realize of his new single Me and You Against The World.
We caught up with Jasper to chat about busy year and what he has planned ahead.
Congratulations on your amazing year! How does it feel to be the most talked about artist of 2011?
Thanks! Its great… I never thought I would become this big, and so darn quickly, I feel amazing! My fans are amazing and I couldn’t do it without them. I love them all!
When Did You Realize Your Talent?
I wouldn’t say I was talented, I was just a normal guy with a dream.
I’ve sung since I was a little boy as I had a musical background and both my parents loved music. My dad was a lecturer of music at university and my mum was a famous musician. So I guess I’ve grown up with it really…
What advice would you give people just starting in the industry?
Contacts! They are your most valuable asset, you could be the worlds most talented artist but without contacts you won’t get far. I used to walk around at film festivals and give them a business card with all my information on. I’m surprised nobody has got a restraining order against me! Haha!
Who Inspires You and Your Music?
Obviously my parents’ music has always had a big influence on what I listen to and obviously how and what I write in my songs now.
It may surprise my fans to know that even though I’m a pop artist a lot of my inspiration comes from country music, such as music heroes like Jimmy Buffett and Brad Paisley.
Actually I first got my musical muse when I was listening to Paisley on my dad’s mix tape... his music just made me pick you a guitar.
Anything else you want to say to your fans?
You’re amazing. I love you all thank you for being so great... Oh and come to my tour on the 15th April, its gonna me great!! :)
