My Double Page Spread Drafts & Final Double Page Spread...

This is my editted image for my double page spread I cropped and cut him out, I have also altered the contrast to make his top stand out more on the page. I decided I wanted to give the glasses a more modern and unique look so I used the liquify tool to make them look like they were spinning and I also took the colours from his top and put them in his top to give a different and quirky feel.

Through my research I have noticed that in double page spreads they will often put in quotes from the artist and I decided that I would emulate this in my double page spread as it gives a personal feel and gives something people can connect too (Blumler and Katz Uses and Gratifications Theory -  1974)

Originally my title was black but I decided to change it as I noticed that the titles in most music magazines act as a masthead for the double page spread I decided to use the colours from his top as the colour scheme this way the colour combinations matched and I avoided making the magazine look cheap by not using primary colours instead using different shades telling the audience immediately that the magazine was aimed at older teens to mid 20's

After this I wrote my article in indesign, most of my magazine is inspired my Q and in the Lady GaGa and Cheryl Cole issue I noticed that when they started the article the first letter would be bigger, I liked this and decided to include it in my magazine as I think it tells us about the artists', that they are confident, bold and famous.

I felt that my double page spread look too plain, so I decide to put in some graphics like the hazard tapes this has made my magazine look more interesting also I feel that it would appeal to my target audience more as it is more stylish and youthful, it also makes the article more down to earth and laid back which complements and matches the tone of article content.

This is my final double page spread:
